Launching the new BDFP website 

After months of planning, consultation, and behind-the scenes work, we are excited to share that the new Burnaby Division of Family Practice (BDFP) website is officially live!

The redesign reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting Burnaby’s primary care providers. Guided by feedback from family physicians and staff, the new site features a cleaner layout, improved navigation, and a more modern, accessible design. Our hope is that you can find the resources and services you need with greater ease.

Our new site features:

  • A cleaner navigation structure to easily access BDFP services, the Burnaby PCN, and practice supports more easily
  • A refreshed Work in Burnaby section fot recruitment and locum opportunities
  • A new, dedicated Events page for all upcoming member events and CME listings
  • Clearer Leadership & Involvement pathways for physician participation in Burnaby
  • Updated patient-facing information to support patients waiting for a family doctor in Burnaby

We’ve simplified the top menu to make it easier to find what you need:

  • Find a Doctor: Information to help patients while they wait for attachment
2. Practice Support & Physician Opportunities:

This section has been refreshed with updated information on BDFP services, initiatives, and resources to support your practice. You can learn more about:

  • Neighbourhood Networks: Connect with peers in your local practice community
  • BDFP Shared Care projects: Opportunities to lead and collaborate with family physicians, community partners, and specialists to improve health care in Burnaby.
  • Long-term Care Initiative: Supports for physicians who currently are or are interested in caring for residents in long-term care home
  • Maternity Care: Opportunities to work closely with the Burnaby Maternity Clinic
  • Patient Attachment Initiative: Support for building your patient panel through B.C.’s Provincial Attachment System

    A developing community for all Burnaby MOAs, featuring:

    • Opportunities to connect with fellow MOAs across Burnaby clinics
    • Access to paid learning opportunities tailored to MOAs
    • Information about upcoming MOA meetings and events

    At the very top of every page, you’ll see a couple of quick links that may come in handy for you:

    • Member Login: Returns you back to divisionsbc.ca (same login you previously used)
    • UpToDate: Direct access to UpToDate with login instructions
    • Pathways: A direct link to Pathways BC for quick and accurate referral information
    • Become a Member: For new primary care providers interested in joining the Burnaby Division of Family Practice

    The previous site (divisionsbc.ca/burnaby) will soon automatically redirect to the new BDFP website. Please update any bookmarks to burnabydivision.ca.

    No login is required for the website.

    Go to Our Services ➜ Practice Support and Physician Opportunities. Supports are grouped by program area and initiatives, such as Neighbourhood Networks, Shared Care, Patient Attachment, Primary Care Network, and more.


    We’ve also created a new Resources page, which will continue to be updated as we develop new resources through the BDFP and through our Shared Care initiatives.

    All CME sessions are listed under Upcoming Events. You can also filter by category through our dedicated CME page under Our Services ➜ Educational & Professional Development.

    Patients can click on the Find a Doctor button in the main navigation, which will direct them to our Burnaby PCN website. 

    Go to “UpToDate” at the topmost navigation bar, and you will receive instructions on how to access UpToDate.
