All family physicians and nurse practitioners in Burnaby can become a member of the Division at no cost. Since 2011, more than 90 percent of our community’s family physicians have joined the Division.  

As a member of the Burnaby Division of Family Practice (BDFP), you’ll be part of a network of local health care providers with a shared goal of improving how our health care system works in Burnaby—for you, and for your patients. Membership is free.

Edmonds Urgent and Primary Care Centre

In Burnaby, we are proud to work closely with the Edmonds Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC)—the only physician-led, Division-run UPCC in the Lower Mainland.

All Burnaby Division of Family Practice members have the opportunity to contribute to the Edmonds UPCC’s team-based care model, working collaboratively alongside MOAs, clinic managers, nurses, social workers, and clinical counsellors.

Eligibility

Licensed family physicians or nurse practitioners who practice the majority of their time in the City of Burnaby (whether you’re a resident, actively practicing, or a retired physician who practiced in Burnaby).

How to register

Membership is funded by the Family Practice Services Committee (FPSC) and is provided at no cost to family physicians.

Submit an application online. Once completed, your application will be sent to the Board of Directors for approval. Our Recruitment and Retention Coordinator will contact you once your application has been approved.
