Get involved

Board of Directors

Help shape family practice in Burnaby, build your leadership skills, and connect with a supportive network of physician leaders. A board election is held each year.

Annual General Meetings (AGM)

Get involved with key decisions, major successes, and future plans of the Division at our AGMs in the fall.

Steering Committees and Working Groups

  • Patient Medical Home Steering (PMH) Committee: Strategic committee for the Division and its Board of Directors to ensure Division program and services meet the needs of its members. 
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee: Provides oversight over CME and determines upcoming sessions. 
  • Long-term Care Working (LTC) Group: Provides oversight over program, risks and issues, recruitment, education, and quality improvement initiatives. 
  • Primary Care Network (PCN) Steering Committee: Sets the guidelines and funding parameters for all PCNs. 
  • PCN Local Leadership Tables: Provides local direction over the health and wellness services of their respective PCNs 
  • Social Prescribing Community of Practice: Collaborates with community partners and health care providers to integrate social prescribing into our community and wellbeing. 

PCN Community Working Groups

Become a physician voice responding to needs and integrating supports at one of the PCN Working Groups:

  • Newcomers 
  • Youth & Teens 
  • Seniors at Home 
  • Social Isolation 
  • Developmental Disabilities 
  • Homelessness 

Shared Care

Improve the quality of care in B.C. through our Shared Care projects by becoming a project lead, project member, or offering feedback as a physician consultant.
