Prescribing Nature: Health is a Walk in the Park

We are inviting all family physicians and nurse practitioners in Burnaby to join us on May 9 for a half-day of free family-friendly activities to boost health and well-being by connecting to nature!
This event is also a great opportunity for primary care providers to learn how you can support your patients between appointments by prescribing nature as part of their routine care.
Join us for guided experiences in Burnaby’s Central Park, including an Indigenous plant walk with Senaqwila Wyss, guided forest therapy experiences, crafting with invasive species, such as basket-weaving with invasive English Ivy or keychain-making with horse chestnuts. Entertainment for the day includes live musical performers, juggling, and some nature-inspired magic tricks.
